Redactic

Redactic is built for lawyers, compliance officers, HR teams and anyone who has to handle documents that contain personal data. Contracts, settlement agreements, case files, medical reports and personnel records often have to be shared with counterparties, experts, authorities or AI tools, and every manual blackout in a PDF editor is slow and easy to get wrong. Redactic detects the sensitive values automatically, including names, tax codes, VAT numbers, IBANs, passport and card numbers, certified email addresses, postal addresses and phone numbers, and lets you review each one before redacting. Permanent redaction burns the black boxes into the document, scanned pages included, and removes hidden content such as comments, links, attachments and document properties from the exported file. Reversible masking replaces the values with placeholders and keeps a mapping, so you can prepare a document for AI and restore the real data in the final text. Processing runs on Redactic infrastructure in Europe, under a Data Processing Agreement for paying customers, and files are not kept after processing. For every operation you can download a certificate with the hashes of the original and redacted documents and a summary of the categories removed, which gives you a clear record for your files. Redactic supports PDF, Word, Excel, images and plain text, keeps the original layout, and works in the main European languages.
